Edwin van der Sar's wife shares intimate recovery video: 'Step by step'
Annemarie van der Sar, the wife of former Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar, has shared an intimate Instagram post revealing that her husband is slowly recovering. Van der Sar suffered a stroke while on vacation in Croatia last month.
The Instagram video shows Van der Sar in the hospital receiving visitors. Later, he is seen walking and doing exercises around his house. He even gives a thumbs up to the camera. The caption accompanying the video reads 'Step by step'.
Following his stroke, Van der Sar had to spend a long time in the intensive care unit in Croatia. In mid-July, he was flown back to the Netherlands where he continued his recovery. He is now back home. In a post shared in mid-July, Van der Sar expressed his gratitude for all the support he received.
